Helaine Juliette Scholze

Helaine Juliette Scholze, a cherished mother, beloved wife, and creative soul, passed away on June 15th, 2023, at the age of 89.  She was born in Long Island, New York in 1934, and later ventured to California in the late 60s to pursue her education at Fullerton Jr College, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology.

With a passion for creativity, Helaine found her calling as a makeup artist for Christian Dior, dedicating many years to enhancing beauty through her artistry. Alongside her career, she wholeheartedly volunteered at numerous women's and children's shelters, sharing her compassion and uplifting those in need.

Helaine was blessed with three children: Eve, Winn, and Adam, who brought immense joy and love into her life. Her marriage to Winfield Scholze was a source of happiness and companionship, lasting for 42 years, and serving as a testament to their enduring bond.

Helaine's vivacious spirit touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt. She will be remembered for her profound love of family and friends, her appreciation for fine wine and cuisine, her keen eye for fashion and beauty, and her passion for unraveling mysteries through murder novels & movies. Helaine found solace and satisfaction in knitting and sewing, expressing her creativity with every stitch.

Loyalty, a vibrant sense of humor, and an infectious joy were defining traits of Helaine's character. She fearlessly shared her thoughts and opinions, and her outspoken nature made her presence truly unforgettable.

As we bid farewell to Helaine, let us honor her memory by cherishing the values she held dear. May her legacy inspire us to embrace the beauty of life, celebrate our loved ones, and live with unwavering loyalty, a joyful spirit, and an unapologetic sense of self.

Helaine Juliette Scholze will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all those whose lives she touched.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate the life of Helaine.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26th, 2023, at 12:30PM inside St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.

Following the service, we will gather at Eve & Dean's house for a reception, where we will share stories, enjoy catering, and raise a glass in honor of Helaine.
