Our "Little Grandma," Helen Anna Stastny Malner Jensen, 102, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, in North Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 26, 1910 in Mandan, N.D., to John A. Stastny and Magdalena Henninger Stastny. Helen arrived in Las Vegas in 1924. She met and married her first husband Joseph Malner Feb. 18, 1926, and they had three daughters. During World War II, she served in the Women's Ambulance Corp. With her nurses training, she worked at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital, now UMC. Over many years she and Joseph ran several successful businesses, including a motel, service station and pool hall. After Joseph's death, she met Lee Jensen and they married Mar. 18, 1981. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Malner; and her second husband, Lee Jensen; daughter, Joy Razy; three sisters, Elizabeth (Betty), Dora and Alice; and four brothers, John, Edward, Albert (Bob) and Peter. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Stiner and Esther Faircloth; a sister, Laura Ballou; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, 59 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Interment will follow at Davis Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
