The Life of Henrietta Hoard Thomas; A Blooming Flower.
Henrietta Hoard Thomas was Born in Los Angeles, California on March 19, 1921 To Melvin Hoard and Dell Hoard, She had two brothers, George and Willie, that Preceded her in Death.
Nine years of her life, Henrietta Lived in a small town near Bakersfield, California. The family was poor they depended heavily on the wildlife and vegetables of the land to survive.
Henrietta worked in the factories was a hallmark of her life, her work empowered her as a woman of color. As the embodiment of a hardworking young lady in society. The energy she possessed within the workplace led her to pursue the man of her dreams She was no longer shy, After a year of dating, In 1944 Henrietta Married Louis Thomas, Who then joined the navy shortly after their marriage, And then 3 years later Louis and Henrietta give birth to a child Patricia.
He later owned a shoemaking and repair shop in Los Angeles. Henrietta helped run the shoe shop alongside, her husband as the receptionist for many years.
Until they retired in 1995 they decide to move to Las Vegas Nevada ,with her mom Melvin who passed in 2000,then Louis Thomas passes away in 2004,They were married 61 years. The relationship with her daughter flourishes they would go out eat,shop go to church every Sunday together, And Henrietta would spend a lot of time with her granddaughter Yvette, Henrietta's life was still unfolding at 99 years young she was still very fashionable, She was always there to give advice,
Henrietta was Loved by her daughter Patricia(Javier) Granddaughter Yvette (Morell) Great-Granddaughters Desiree,D’Ajee,Diamond and Destiny and Great Great Grand Kids Kaeleanna and Kristian, Henrietta was loved by her neighbors, doctors and pastors Wayne and Rachel Chaisson and the Congregation 0f Grace Covenant Christian Church.
She was always giving and receiving kisses, she will be missed by All.
