Hollis Don Brecheisen, 83, was born March 12, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo., passing away Feb. 21, 2013. Don was a devoted husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Laura Jo Brecheisen; sister, June Chandler; brother, Lawrence Joe Brecheisen; and sons, Neal and Ron, along with their wives, Cheryl and Caroline, all of Las Vegas. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948 before returning to Henderson to marry Laura Jo Dudley in November 1948. Don began his career as an electrician with the IBEW local 357 in 1951, achieving master electrician, and was a member of the union for over 62 years. Retiring to Woodland, Wash. in 1990, he enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing and working in his shop. He was a member of Fish First, an organization dedicated to fishery conservation and restoration on the Lewis River in southwest Washington State. Viewing will be at 10-11 a.m., Friday, March 1, with services following, both at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
