In Loving Memory of Isaiah Kaupono Johnson

On December 6, 2025, Isaiah Kaupono Johnson departed this world too soon, leaving his family and friends devastated by this sudden loss.

Isaiah was a self-taught chef, a creative soul, and most recently, a devoted father. He grew up in Hawaii, lived in Japan for a time and ultimately made his home in Las Vegas.

He worked in many restaurants, most of which reflected his deep love for Japanese cuisine. Isaiah was passionate about food and often showed his love for others by creating dazzling dishes to share. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and cherished every moment he had with his son, Kaison.

Isaiah loved causing mischief and laughing with everyone. He gave his love freely and never asked for anything in return. He was generous, genuine, and intentional in all that he did in this life.

To cherish his memory, Isaiah leaves behind his son, Kaison Roark; his mother, Antoinette Johnson; his siblings, Rodney (Crystal) Branco Jr., Zenobia Nye, Annette Stringfield, James Stringfield, Dominique (Francis) Villanueva, Raymond Johnson, Raelene (Jonah) Lai; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Isaiah’s absence is massive, unimaginable, and everlasting. He is deeply missed.
