Jade Michael Kilmer

Jade Michael Kilmer was born March 2nd, 1993 to loving parents, Deborah Alice Canova and Robert Kilmer. Jade was a beautiful, warm-hearted, funny little man with a huge heart. He was an active member of the local chapter of the AWANA Clubs International, a youth ministry at Gateway Baptist Church. He will be missed dearly, and was a blessing to everyone that knew him. Jade was known for his funny wit and forever smile. He had the uncanny ability to light up a room, and within minutes of arriving, he would have made a new friend. Jade’s joyful countenance was contagious. He lived life to the fullest with a zeal that was one of a kind. His creativity and artistic abilities were very open and expressive; he often created artistic expressions of his
happiness to cheer those dear to him. His friends will always remember him for his openness and non-judgmental caring and total selflessness. Jade’s untimely loss has made us realize that he was nothing short of...a gift from God. All of those who knew him will miss his precious voice and laugh. His loss serves to remind us to cherish every moment and to not take the children we have been blessed with for granted. Every moment with them is a gift from God that must be cherished. Jade lived in the moment, and his life reflected it.
Jade loved music and was a joy to watch as he danced to the music. Just in watching him dance one could see that he was not deterred by fear or embarrassment in expressing his joy in life. He was a happy child whose passion for life was readily apparent to those around him. His game card collection was enormous and always seemed to slowly disappear because he unselfishly gave his favorite cards to his closest friends. His attitude was always, "You can have it - I'll get more later." His wholehearted giving was awesome; you had to witness it to truly appreciate it.
Jade wholeheartedly trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour on
December 23, 2001 and he departed to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 8th, 2003. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, his sisters Brooklyn Elizabeth Woolard and LiLi Kilmer; stepbrothers P.J and Michael; grandparents Diane Canova and
Rob and Ruth Kilmer.
