He is survived by his wife, Rubie, of 52 years. His children: Brett, Shawna, Gloria and Marc. His grandchildren: Brandi, Sherla, Marissa, Joshua Brooks, Joshua Boyer, Kristena, Daniel, Sarah, and Savanah. His great-grandchildren: Beau, Calle, Aliana, and Payton. And many more family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kristena, his father and mother, Wylie and Sally, and his brothers and sisters, Wylie, Roger, Mildred, Jackie and Doris.

Jim served in the Military from 1959 until 1981. While serving in the military, Jim met Rubie and they married on June 29, 1969. After Jim retired from the military he joined the Union in March of 1981 as an Operating Engineer. After retiring in May 2004, Jim and Rubie bought property in Caliente, where he was able to do some of his favorite things, like hunting and fishing. Eventually he and Rubie moved back to Las Vegas. Jim has many people who love him and will miss him greatly.
