JAMES MAGUET James "Jim" Cameron Maguet, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. James was born Sept 2, 1952, in Decatur Ill., to Mack Maguet and Georgene "Jackie" Bowler-Buck. He graduated from Decatur High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jim attended trade school and became a skilled carpenter and moved to Las Vegas in 1974. He worked at the Nevada Test Site for 25 yrs. Jim also worked at the Tropicana Hotel and retired as the maintenance foreman in 2010. James leaves his mother, Georgene Buck of Las Vegas; a brother, Donald Glenn Maguet of Corbin, Ky.; his daughter, Jackie Zambroni of San Antonio; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, with funeral services following, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7401 W. Smoke Ranch, Las Vegas, where he was a life-long member. We thank Bunkers Mortuary for their services.
