James Van Wey

Jim Van Wey passed away Dec. 11, 2016. He was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Shelton, Neb. Jim served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the U.S. Air Force for 16 years. Jim was a resident of Las Vegas for over 50 years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Ervin. Jim is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters, Dee (Harold) Goss and Dianne (Kent) Hughes; son, Harold (Bobbie) Cushing; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas. Burial is pending in Shelton.
