Janet Ashworth

December 17, 1932 — July 23, 2013

Janet L. Bunker Ashworth passed away July 23, 2013. She was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Las Vegas, to Ethel Frehner and Martin Bunker. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Janet was a woman of many talents, but most of all she loved to sew and cook. In her free time, she would make quilts for her grandchildren. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach and Disneyland. For many years, she would go with her family to enjoy the ocean breeze and Disneyland treats. Janet will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She was a very caring and witty woman. She always knew how to make everyone feel wanted and important. She will forever be in our hearts and minds. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ashworth; her four children; 14 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her "Mama." She lived a fulfilling life and outlived one daughter and three grandchildren. She is now being welcomed with opened arms. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. There will be a second viewing noon-1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, followed by funeral services, both at the LDS chapel, 3400 W. Charleston Blvd.
