Jesus Medina Sr., 78, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 26, 2012. He was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and was a 45-year resident of Nevada. Jesus served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Nevada Test Site. He was a fast-pitch softball pitcher and loved fishing and bowling. Jesus is survived by sons, Jesus Jr. (Debbie) and Enrique; daughter, Lydia; brothers, Gilbert and Joe; and grandchildren, Jared, Jesus III, Marisa, Jake, Logan, Kylee and Scott. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
