Joe E Slaughter

Joe Edward was born on May 25, 1928,  in Creedmore, Texas to Rev George Sr. and Rachel Franklin Slaughter.  Later the family moved to Austin, Tx.

Joe was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He raised his family in Los Angeles Ca. He was a hard worker and member @ Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Emanuel Scott. After retirement Joe & his wife moved to Las Vegas, NV.  He was a faithful member and Greeter @ Mountaintop Faith Ministries under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Clinton House.

Family members that preceded him in death include, his parents, one brother,  three sisters,  his wife, one grandson, and his closest friend.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his three daughters, Verna Joe Slaughter,  Beverly Dixon, & Glenda Dillon , two sons Lawrence Ray Slaughter(wife Jacklyn), Maurice Slaughter (wife Cynthia), his loving special companion Ida Mae Horne, one god daughter, ten grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren, one brother George Slaughter, one sister Lois Bland and a host of nieces, nephews, special family and  friends.
