John M. Connor

John Mark Connor, 76, of Las Vegas, passed away June 4, 2012. He was born May 20, 1936 in Christopher, Ill., and was a 50-year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a retired building inspector. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vivian Connor; brother, Wayne; and sister, Betty Mode. He is survived by his wife, Georgein; son, Mark (Stacy); daughter, Laura (Ben) Johnson; grandsons, Andrew, Garrett, Colton, and Lane; granddaughter, Madison; sister, Sara (Bob) Bauer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:20 a.m., Friday, June 29, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. A celebration of life will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Heart Center, 3006 S. Maryland Parkway, #690, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
