John Ponticello

John Ponticello passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, after complications from cancer. He was born May 7, 1935, in Syracuse, N.Y. He has deep roots in the community having lived in Las Vegas since 1956. After retiring from the casino Industry, John continued his passion for travel by cruising around the world. He was the president of the Paradise Democratic Club for the past 20 years. His political highlights include representing the State of Nevada as a delegate in three Democratic conventions, as well as being one of the members of the Nevada Electoral College for the 2012 presidential election. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ponticello. John is survived by his daughters, Tiffany (Doug) and Johna (Jared); grandchildren, Bre, Dillon, Danielle and Desiree; sister, Mary; his girlfriend, Robin; and many more loving family and friends. Celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday June 20, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89129.
