MSGT. JOSEPH STABLER U.S. Air Force, Retired MSgt. Joseph Neil Stabler, U.S. Air Force Security Service (ret.), 71, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully at UMC Hospital after a long illness with heart disease, Sept. 16, 2011, with his wife, Sandy, and his family by his side. He was born March 10, 1940, in Cortland, N.Y., and was a 35-year resident of Nevada. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years and retired Aug. 1, 1984. He worked part-time at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Las Vegas Review Journal. Joe is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Sandy; daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa;" sons, Scott George and Joseph Neil Jr.; grandchildren, Trey, Tori, Tierryn, Michael and Sarah; brother, Thomas "Tom"; and sister, Margaret "Peggy". Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Graveside services to follow at Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Las Vegas.
