JOSHUA GONZALEZ-JOSE In loving memory of Joshua Timothy James Gonzalez-Jose, who passed into the arms of God Nov. 4, 2014. Born Sept. 30, 1981, Joshua was an Artist, a cinematographer, connected with the Luxor-based Jabbawockeez with whom he had worked for many productive years accompanied by his brother, partner/editor, Jordan. He was apprenticed then employed by JR Lighting, which kindled the passion he applied and pursued during his relatively short lifetime. His long red dreads, beard and fastidious style of dressing left an indelible impression on everyone he met. He stood out in airports and endured long waits with customs to his travels to Israel, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, and the Philippines. He was the kindest, gentlest of souls and everyone who had the pleasure of Joshua's company knew of his generous nature, his humble and quiet voice, great sense of humor and the heartfelt smiles he gave to those who meant the world to him. We will never know the lofty heights he could have achieved as he plied his craft, but surviving works will chronicle the love he dedicated to his chosen profession. His faith in our Lord Jesus was unflinching, his last words being, "Praise God! Praise God!." He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Jose. He is survived by his mother, Antonette Gonzalez Figueroa; stepfather, James Y. Figueroa; as well as his brother, Jordan Marcus Gonzalez Jose. Joshua was also very close to his cousins, nephews and nieces, his aunties and grandmothers, his in-laws, mentors, and the many friendships he had nurtured since childhood, all too numerous to mention. Viewing will be 3-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, with memorial services following, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101, (702) 385-1441.
