Juana Ofelia Ayala-Medina, 82, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2016. She was born Nov. 15, 1933, in Michoacán, Mexico, and immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970s. Known to loved ones as "Ofe," she was a blessing to all those around her. She was a nanny by profession and took care of many children throughout the years. Ofe cared for all those children so much and loved what she did. She loved to crochet and loved her dog, Tejano and her bird, Woosley. Ofe will be forever remembered as a sweet and wonderful lady that brought joy to the lives of many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; her father, Seferino Ayala Ramirez; her mother, Maria del Refugio Medina Fuentes; and her brother, Gonzalo Ayala. Ofe is survived by her sister, Olivia Ayala Medina; her nieces, Sonia Ayala, Lucy Ayala, and Lourdes Amezcua; and her nephew, Victor Ayala. A Mass will be at 4 p.m. Monday, March 7, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas
