Karen Anne O'Neil, 67, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 10, 2011. She was born July 26, 1944, in Lincoln, Neb., and was a 67-year resident of Nevada. Karen was the salon business owner of Permanent Solution. For those honored to know Karen, it is common knowledge that Karen was truly a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her joy and the focus of her love, commitment, and loyalty, in which she took seriously, with pleasure, her role in their lives. Karen was faithful to her friends and her church; her closet friend, Leighann Borchick describes her need for Karen's friendship as "the air that I breathe." Long-time client, Hugh Jones, as well as other clients often referred to Karen as "The Barbershop Psychiatrist." Karen's life has simply blessed ours, leaving an indelible mark on those touched by her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hildergard Domina; and infant son, Kirk Hernandez. She is survived by her husband, Dwight O'Neil; four sons, Ron, Kristen, Russell and Kyle; daughter, Ryan; two stepchildren, Sonia and Dwight; 14 grandchildren; five sisters, Donna, Ruth, Audrey, Merelle and Annette; and so many more.
