Katherine Gillies Simpson, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Oct. 7, 2017. Katherine was born Nov. 24, 1924, in Newcastle, Utah. She moved to Las Vegas in 1943, where she remained until the end of her life. She enjoyed reading, working in the Las Vegas LDS Temple for over 20 years and watching Lawrence Welk. Katherine was preceded in death by her son, Robert Simpson; and grandson, Nicholas Paulos. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Christine Paulos; daughter-in-law, Debbie; and grandchildren, Joseph, Tiffany, Ryan, Rob, Shawn, Kendall, Michael and Katrina. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N.
