Kathryn L. "Katie" Glass, 85, a domestic executive, of Las Vegas, passed away May 25, 2012. She was born May 14, 1927, in Peralta, N.M., and was a 50-year resident of Nevada. Katie spent much of her life in Las Vegas, where she raised five sons. She spent several years living on a reservation in Washington with her late husband, Richard, and was able to immerse herself in her Native American culture. She enjoyed attending Pow-Wows and was a proud member of the Seminole Nation. She worked as a domestic executive most of her life. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and was always there as a support system for her children and grandchildren. Her greatest pleasure was to spend time with family and friends. She had an amazing sense of humor and was gracious in even the most difficult times of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Nellie Loyd; husbands, Bruce Willis, Thomas Metz and later, Richard Glass; siblings, Eugene Loyd and Pauline Plant; and sons, David and Kenneth Metz. Katie is survived by her children, Robert "Allen" Metz, Mickey Joe Metz and Jerry "Skip" Metz and his wife, Diane; and grandchildren, Bobby Metz and fiancee, Alisha Hill, Michelle Ramirez, Jacob Metz, Nicole Metz, Genieva Metz Kalisa Metz and Jerry Metz; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
