Kathryn B Nelson

Kathryn Bunker Nelson, 90, of Las Vegas, NV passed away April 8, 2023 quietly, surrounded by family.

She was born August 3, 1932 in St. George, Utah the third of six children to James Raphael Bunker and Adele Slack.  She grew up in Veyo and St. George, Utah.  She has been a resident of Las Vegas, NV for 61 years.

Kathryn enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, and quilting.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions within the church.  She gave many hours of service to the Boy Scouts of America and earned her Silver Beaver Award.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Bennie, children:  Denise (Michael) Hollingsworth, Janette (Danny) Smith, Richard (Kay) Nelson, Deborah (Dave) Grondel, Raphael (Jodi) Nelson, Amy (Mark) Stankosky, Boyden (MaryEllen) Nelson; 39 Grandchildren, and 89 Great Grandchildren, and sister, Carma Lou Morris.   She is preceded in death by her parents, James Raphael and Adele Bunker; brothers, James Darrel Bunker and Walter Garth Bunker and sisters, Beverly Jones and Adele Bunker, and daughter Terrie (Edward) Johnson.
