Laura Jo Brecheisen

Laura Jo Brecheisen, 86, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 17, 2013. She was born Nov. 13, 1926, in Sheridan, Mont. Jo was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and "Auntie Jo" to many. Laura Jo married the love of her life, Hollis Don Brecheisen, Nov. 2, 1948, and were together until his passing in February 2013. They both enjoyed fishing, traveling, hunting in the fall, and she especially loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Laura Jo was very proud to work for the Las Vegas Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff's departments until starting her family in 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 64 years, Hollis Don; brothers, Robert Dudley and Evan Dudley; sisters, Frances McCrea and Florence Martin; and son, Alan Neal. Jo is survived by son, Ron; and daughters-in-law, Caroline and Cheryl. Viewing will be noon-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, with services following, both at Bunkers Memory Garden Chapel, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas.
