Lawrence "Johnny" Johnson passed away Dec. 3, 2011. He was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a ball turret gunner in World War II, flying out of England and Italy. He worked for Centel as a cable splicer and outside plant supervisor for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his wife, of 66 years, Beverly; sisters, Majorie and Shirley; sons, David (Sheryl), Clayton and Corey (Linda); grandchildren, Lisa, Matt, Sarah, Darron, Jesse and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Darian, Brooke, Alyssa and Pierce, He was preceded in death by his son, Dean; and brother, Charles. Visitation is 9-12:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, at Bunkers Mortuary, followed by graveside services at 1 p.m., at Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Lone Mountain Road.
