Letha Annabelle Hughes, 96, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 4, 2011. She was born April 20, 1915, in Greeley, Colo., and was a 51-year resident of Nevada. Annabelle was proud that she lived independently until July 4, 2011. She felt honored to serve as a WAVE in the United States Navy during World War II. Her two children, Bob and Dollie, also gave her a sense of pride and accomplishment. Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, Dollie and Andrew Bresnahan; her brother, Charles Bresnahan; and her husband, Elmer R. Hughes. Annabelle is survived by her daughter, Dollie (Dan) McPartlin; and son, Robert (Madelyn) Hughes. Viewing will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Donations can be made to Macular Degeneration Association, P.O.
