Lillian Mae Morris, age 85, died peacefully Dec. 26, 2013. Her final days were spent surrounded by family. Lillian was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Detroit, the daughter of late David Wesley Marlow and Pearl Marlow. Lillian and her family left Detroit in 1943, for Seattle. There Lillian worked for Boeing making airplanes during the war. She then planted her roots in Las Vegas where she met the love of her life, Robert Richard Morris. They were joined together in marriage Sept. 1, 1962. She was a waitress for 30 years and then a loving homemaker. She loved and enjoyed many things including watching her youngest son race desert motorcycles, playing cribbage, jig saw puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Florence Perachini, June Fraser, Derlene Fowler, Leah Zanbom and Alice O'Neal; and her brother, David Marlow. Lillian is survived by her husband, Robert Richard Morris; her brother, Russell Marlow; her daughter, Beverly Ronald; her sons, Thomas Beeler, Rodney Beeler and Mark Morris; and their spouses. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Her smile and loving presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101. Graveside prayer will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89129. This obituary is written in honor of our dearest mother, wife, sister and grandmother.
