Lloyd Burdo

LLOYD BURDO U.S. Navy, Retired Lloyd Burdo, 84, of Henderson, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Lloyd was born May 3, 1928, in Rossford, Ohio, and moved to Las Vegas in 1967. Lloyd joined the U.S. Navy Jan. 8, 1946, serving in the Philippines, and received his honorable discharge Feb. 17, 1971. He loved fishing, music and bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; and son, William. He is survived by his three sons, Skip Burdo of Prescott, Ariz., Mike Burdo of Las Vegas, and Rick Burdo of Las Vegas; daughter, Tracy Gerard of Henderson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Brossia of Toledo, Ohio. A special thank you to Odyssey Hospice for their loving care and support. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we had with him. Memorial services in his honor will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Pastor Marvin Gant will officiate. Burial following, at Bunkers Eden Vale, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N. "Rest in forever peace."
