Lois Chatfield

Lois Rose Hansen Chatfield, 86, passed away May 7, 2017, at home. She is survived by her children, Spencer Kelsey (Kathy), Ruthann (Jim) Caudill, Margaret (Stephen) Dahl, Paul Hansen (Joelle), Arthur Kelsey (Kellie) and Richard Hansen; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Linda); sister-in-law, Josephine; and many nieces and nephews. Lois was born in Alamosa, Colo. She began attending the University of Utah at age 16 and later became the youngest realtor in the state of Utah. Lois married Arthur Kelsey Chatfield April 3, 1952 and they were married for 51 years until Kelsey passed away in 2003. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions over the course of her life. The last several years Lois enjoyed teaching her children's class. She also loved to read, spend time with her family and friends, sing and play the piano. Lois was loved by many and will be missed. Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Alta and Jones LDS Chapel, 6120 W. Alta Drive.
