LOMA ARNOLD Loma "Jinx" Barnum Arnold, 90, of Overton, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to the Lord Aug. 2, 2014. She was a member of a pioneer Nevada family and was a life-long Nevada resident. She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Arden, to Ida Leavitt Barnum and Robert Barnum of Mesquite. Her father was a member of the first professional fire department in Las Vegas. She was married to Donald Vernon Iles in 1948, until his passing in 1972. She married Walter Arnold in 1973 and inherited another wonderful family. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge for over 40 years and was a past president. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida Barnum; brother, Daniel Barnum; sister, Juanita Root; husband, Donald Iles; and granddaughter, Deanne. She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Arnold of Overton; brother, Earnest Barnum of Las Vegas; daughters, Paula (Charles) Simmons of Overton, Roberta (Tom) Traughber of Ridgecrest, Calif., Pamela Christie and Donna Pence, of Pahrump; stepsons, Doug (Vicki) Arnold and Lee (Pat) Arnold of Las Vegas; "adopted" daughter, Leilani Gordon of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, in the LDS Church, 2295 N. Walnut Road, Las Vegas. Interment will follow at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
