Lonnie M. Pope

Lonnie Matthew Pope, of Las Vegas, passed away June 30, 2013. He was born Aug. 13, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., and was a longtime resident of Nevada. Lonnie served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was in the first graduating class of Western High School and worked as a bellman for 43 years at the International/Las Vegas Hilton. Lonnie is survived by his daughters, Lori and LeAnne; and grandson, Damian. Lonnie is now at peace being embraced in the loving arms of his soulmate and wife, Linda. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9. Services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. He will be dearly missed by everyone who's lives he touched.
