Lora B. Boen

Lora B. Boen, 83, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in her sleep under the very caring care-staff of Odyssey Hospice. Lora was born in Buhl, Idaho, July 21, 1929. Upon marrying Gorman Boen, she moved to Las Vegas, where she was a hair stylist until her retirement in 1992. Lora was preceded in death by her husband, Gorman; and son, Darris Hansen. She is survived by her brothers, Carl Jess of Anaconda, Mont., Danny Jess of Bridger, Mont., and Pete McBride of Anchorage, Ala.; sister, Helen Cunningham of Filer, Idaho; daughter, Diana Stevenson; son, Curt Hansen; grandsons, Justin and Jared Hansen, and Donald and Damon Stevenson; granddaughter, Christina Martinez; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas. Donations can be made in Lora's name to Odyssey Hospice, 4011 McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
