Lorrayne Hall

June 25, 1925 — October 27, 2017

Lorrayne Wilson Hall, a former Clark County School District teacher for over 40 years, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2017 in North Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mrs. Hall was born on June 26th in Idabel, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Hall completed her formal education in Idabel, Oklahoma.  After graduating high school, she attended Wiley College in Marshall, Texas majoring in Education.  Lorrayne was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Chapter. On December 29, 1948, Lorrayne married Curtis “Curly Top” Joseph Hall, Sr. and lived in various cities and towns in Oklahoma.  While living in Oklahoma, Lorrayne was an educator in the Oklahoma Public School System teaching high school English and Music Appreciation. Lorrayne relocated to North Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962.  She taught first grade at numerous elementary schools in the Clark County School District retiring from C.C. Ronnow Elementary School in 1993. Lorrayne was active in many organizations throughout Clark County giving freely of her time.  She was a member of the following organizations: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Theta Theta Omega Chapter Founding Member; Clark County Classroom Teachers Association National Education Association Voter Registrar. Lorrayne was preceded in death by her mother, Ollye Ward Wilson, husband, Curtis “Curly Top” Joseph Hall, Sr., and grandson, Dr. Darrio J. Hall. Lorrayne leaves to celebrate her memories:  a loving daughter, Yvonne “Jackie” Hall, a loving son, Curtis “CJ” Hall, Jr., one grandson, Kyle J. Kimble, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
