Louis G. Cortez

Louis Gonzaga Cortez, 81, of Las Vegas, formerly of Gardner, Colo., left to be with the Lord Sept. 10, 2011. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; son, Gary; daughter, Naomi; his parents; three sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Dave), Ron (Vicky), Louella (Jim), Jamie (Becky), Mark (Laura), and Stephanie (Michele); 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. He enjoyed traveling, UNLV football, and spending time with family. A viewing/rosary will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial following.
