Louise Murphy Clark, 73 was born on May 24,2933 in New Orleans. She was one of two children born to Edward Murphy Sr. and Delores Murphy-Hayden.
While residing in New Orleans, Louise accepted Christ at an early age. Louise, along with her husband Donald moved to Las Vegas in 1952 where she completed her nursing studies at Southern Memorial Hospital(University Medical Center), and worked as a licensed practical nurse at Women's Hospital and Souther Memorial Hospital. Louise later began a second career as an employment specialist for the State of Nevada Employment Security, from which she retired after 20 years of services.
Louise departed this earth on Wednesday, October 4,2006. She was fun loving and showed a zest for life. She had two loves in her life; her family and her church. She labored diligently to ensure that both family and church were nurtured to the fullest. Louise could often be found volunteering with a beautiful smile and offering assistance anytime or anywhere her church or family needed her.
Louise leaves many to cherish her previous memory; her husband, Rev. Donald M. Clark; children, Donna Clark, Cornell Clark. M.D. and Betty Dextra of Las Vegas, Yolanda Brandon (Tim) of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Tiffani Peoples, and Anastasia Dextra of Las Vegas, Miles Brandon and Taylor Brandon of Oakland, CA.; brother, Edward Murphy,Jr.(Florida) of Las Vegas; brother-in-law, Alvin Clark(Maxine) of New York; sister-in-law, Lois Marie Washington of Baton Rouge, LA.; godsons, Alvin Woodward of Los Angeles, and Marcello Payne of Birmingham, AL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
