Lovell O. Sprague, 91, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 2, 2014. He was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and was a 88-year resident of Nevada. Lovell served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 36 years of service. He married Cleo Oler Sprague and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lovell was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo; son, Keith E. Sprague; parents, Orson and Bertha Sprague; brothers, Lowell and Paul Sprague; and sisters, Roweena, Irene and Kathleen. Lovell is survived by his sons, Dwaine (Trina) and David Sprague; one daughter, Corrine Sprague; three sisters, Annabelle Biggleman, Louise Patterson and Lois Hanning; one brother, Ralph Sprague; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
