LuRene Neagle Aplin, 83, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012.She was born in Cedar City, Utah, July 21, 1929. She was the eldest of four children and the only girl. She moved to Las Vegas in 1943. LuRene was retired from the City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation, but her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mom a grandma and a great-grandma. She had many talents and passed all her creativity onto her girls. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family. LuRene was preceded in death by her first husband, Otto K McFarland; her second husband, William L Aplin; mother, Christina Neagle; father, John Stanley Neagle; brother, Conrad S Neagle; and daughter, Catheryn Elaine McFarland. She is survived by her daughters, LuRenae Davis (Jim Davis), Kathleen Trefiletti (Dino Trefiletti) and Christine Walters (Kip Walters); stepdaughter, Linda Lankford, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Daniel LaMonte Neagle of Pacific City, Ore., and Derald Wayne Neagle of Las Vegas, 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Friday Aug. 31, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Grand Canyon Ward, located at 8801 W. Alexander Road, Las Vegas, on the corner of Alexander and El Capitan. Viewing will be 10-10:45 a.m., funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Internment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
