Luz Frondozo Pura was born February 27, 1945. She did not live the life that was expected of her; she was far too busy making sure everyone around her was taken care of first. If something came between her and the well-being of those she loved, she didn't hesitate to choose sacrificial love. She took take of all of her nieces and nephews and treated them as if they were her own children. As a result, she didn't have many materialistic things. However, what she did have was family and friends: people who truly cared for her, made sure she was comfortable, and made sure she had what she needed. Her sister, Lydia, was one of these people, arguably the most important in Luz's life. They lived life together, fought for each other, and protected each other. As in life, they were together when Luz Pura went home to be with the Lord at 8:04PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021. She passed peacefully, surrounded by those she loved. Lydia had lost a best friend, a sister, someone she had taken care of for a long time. Minutes before her passing, Luz's precious 5-year-old granddaughter, Leana, who was with her when she passed, asked, "Is she walking with Jesus?" Yes, she is walking, she is smiling, and she is looking into the eyes of Jesus, thankful for family, joyful, and peaceful.
