Madeleine Powers

Madeleine S. Dossey Powers, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away April 15, 2013. A retired dental assistant, Madeleine was born in Imperial Valley, Calif., and moved to Las Vegas 50 years ago. Madeleine was a talented painter, a lover of animals and a fan of baseball. She was the wonderful mother of six children, a beautiful grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. Madeleine was preceded in death by her husband, Sam L. Powers II; and her son, Sam L. Powers III. She is survived by her children, Tim Powers, Cindy Capps, Terry Powers, Tracy Fiato and Larry Coppock; her 15 grandchildren; and her 20 great-grandchildren. "We will carry your memory in our hearts." Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
