Marcelline Philebar

Marcelline Philebar, 89, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 25, 2012. She was born June 6, 1923, in Davenport, Iowa, and was a 49-year resident of Nevada. Marcelline married Wayne Philebar March 1, 1941, in Davenport. They moved to Las Vegas in 1963. She raised three sons, Denny, Dana and Duane. A long-time member of the Lutheran Church, she will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Donald Philebar; and son, Duane Dee Philebar. She is survived by sons, Wayne D. Philebar of Las Vegas and Dana W. Philebar of Shingle Springs, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, followed by funeral services, both at Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., Las Vegas. Burial will follow at 1:20 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. Donations may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church.
