Margaret LaRue Snarr Worthen, mother of seven, grandma of 38 and great-grandmother of 79, with two on the way, passed away peacefully May 6, 2016, with many of her family around her. Many thought she looked like an angel as she left to meet her mom, dad, sister, grandsons and many others whom she had touched in life. She was born March 24, 1929, in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and soon after married her sweetheart, Richard "Dick" G. Worthen May 14, 1948, almost 68 years ago. She was active in the PTA as she raised her family. She and her husband served 22 years in the LDS Las Vegas Temple. She was a Stake Relief Society President for seven years, Nevada Mother of the Year, and Regional Representative of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for many years.
