Marilyn was born to D. LeRoy Bond and Pearl Willis Bond on March 4, 1935 in Mesa, Arizona.  She met her sweetheart Paul Claude Plumb while a freshman in high school and they married civily on December 25, 1951 and sealed in the Mesa Temple on January 2, 1952.

Marilyn was the mother of eight (Steven, Brian, Leslie, Nanette, Paula Ann, Robert, Patrick, Christopher).

Marilyn was a young wife and mother, marrying at sixteen (16) and she took her role as a wife and mother as heart of the home onto herself as part of her personality.  She was a mother bear to her children, she was their advocate and protector.  She did the best she could to set a positive role model for her children.  She obtained her GED while Christopher and Patrick were in High School.  She instilled in her children a strong work ethic, the value of keeping a tidy and clean house, the ability to cook and bake.

Marilyn was a supportive wife.  During her marriage to Paul of over 70 years she supported her husband through changes in employment, his time in the military including war time, loss of jobs, church callings and raising their children.  She was primarily a wife and homemaker but worked outside the home when needed.  She was a seamstress, worked in a Drug Store and when the family purchased a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Store, she helped in the family business.  Her favorite memory was Mel Gibson walking into their store and teasing her about sampling the gummy bears.

Marilyn was an active member of her church holding numerous callings such as Relief Society President, Homemaking Leader, Compassionate Service Leader to name a few.  She supported her children while they served missions.

Marilyn’s hobbies included things such as making baby blankets, crocheting, dogs, and attending her children’s church and school functions. She loved to critique how her boys mowed the lawn, and attending football games.

Marilyn was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Paul Claude Plumb, her son Brian, her daughter Paula Ann, her parents LeRoy and Pearl Bond, her siblings Donna Fife, Jerry Bond and Larry Bond.
