Marjorie Collins Tate, 80, of North Las Vegas, passed away April 1, 2010. Marjorie was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Whorton, Texas, and was a 47-year resident of Nevada. Before retiring in 1996, Marjorie was a casino porter at the Desert Inn for 35 years. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, sang in the choir, volunteered feeding the homeless at New Jerusalem M.B.C. on Wednesdays. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Childress in 2003; father, Johnnie Collins in 2002; and son, Burnie Lee Jones in 1984. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Hayden (Derrick) of Mississippi; sons, Johnnie P. Jones of Nevada; son, Robert C. Jones Jr. of Texas; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, cousins, family members,
co-workers and friends whom she loved.
