Marlene Kolk, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015. She was born July 2, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas. Beloved wife, mother and daughter, she was a constant source of laughter, quick with a joke or a funny story. Marlene deeply loved her family and was always there offering encouragement and support at practices, games, performances and events. Affectionately referred to as the "Title Queen," Marlene's lifelong career in banking included many years at both WestStar Credit Union and Primerit Bank. A Rainbow Girl in her youth, then later a member of Eastern Star, she spoke fondly, and often, of her years in both organizations. She was preceded in death by her mother, Treva Froyd; her father, James Froyd; and her brother, Jim Froyd. Marlene is survived by her husband, of 23 years, Jack Kolk; her sons, Page and Cory Benway; and her granddaughters, Katie and Heather. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101
