Martin Jimenez, 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was born on June 1, 1964, and passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous ten-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Martin was proud to call the city his home throughout his life. He graduated from Rancho High School and went on to build a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family.
Martin was known for his incredible work ethic, generous heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. No matter the circumstances, he had a way of finding something to laugh about and making others smile.
Martin spent twelve years working at Circus Circus as a member of the Culinary Union. He later worked as a caregiver, helping others with kindness and compassion, before becoming a stagehand laborer, a profession he truly enjoyed. In every job he held, Martin earned the respect of those around him for his dependability, determination, and willingness to work harder than anyone else. To many who knew him, he was simply the hardest-working person they had ever met.
Even during his battle with leukemia, Martin's dedication to work never faded. In his final months, he often spoke about wanting to get back to work and return to the job he loved. His determination, strength, and sense of purpose remained with him until the very end, reflecting the pride he took in providing for his family and contributing wherever he could.
Family was at the center of Martin's life. One of his greatest acts of love was caring for his mother in her home during her final years. He devoted countless hours to ensuring she was comfortable, supported, and never alone. His selflessness, compassion, and dedication to family were among the qualities that defined him.
Martin will be remembered most for his sense of humor. He was always cracking jokes and trying to make people laugh. Even during the most difficult moments of his illness, he continued to lift the spirits of those around him with his wit, positivity, and resilience. His ability to bring joy to others was a gift that will never be forgotten.
Outside of work and family, Martin enjoyed staying active and working out. He loved growing plants and took pride in caring for them. He was a devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan and loved watching sports of all kinds. He was also a fan of oldies music, and many of his favorite songs provided the soundtrack to family gatherings, road trips, and everyday moments throughout his life.
Above all, Martin was a loving husband, devoted father, caring son, and loyal friend. His strength, kindness, and unwavering love touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Martin is survived by his beloved wife, Alejandra Jimenez, and his two sons, Martin Jimenez and Ivan Jimenez. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Though he will be deeply missed, Martin's legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the example he set through hard work and dedication, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.
Rest in peace, Martin. Your strength, humor, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear."
