Mary E. Stone

Mary Ellen Stone, 94, a retired crossing guard, of Las Vegas, passed away April 5, 2012. She was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Springfield, Ill., and was a 48-year resident of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Blake; mother, Jeanne; adopted parents, Chester and Lura; brother, Basil; and nephew, Jay. She is survived by her brothers, James and John; children, Gloria and Sandra; grandchildren, John, Vince, Anthony, Steven, and Tracy; great-grandchildren, Heather, Hilary, Clayton, Keith, Kim, Brittany, Sarah, Kyle and Lindsay; nephews, Chip, George, Richard and Thomas; nieces, Tomigene and Sandy; and grand-niece, Holli. Mary will be interned at Bunkers Mortuary, where her mother Jeanne is at rest, and a private family memorial will be held in California at a later date.
