Matthew J. Kennedy

Matthew J. Kennedy, 30, of Woodland Park, passed away Jan. 21, 2012. He was born in Las Vegas. A devoted father and husband, Matt is survived by his wife, Gina, whom he met when they were 14; his children, Noah (8) and Tautiana (13); mother, Joanne Kennedy; sister, Stephanie and her husband, Brad and nephew, Jonathan Rosenberg, father and mother-in-law, Albert and Pam Beas; six brothers-in-law; 22 nieces and nephews; numerous loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. In addition to being a devoted father and husband, Matt worked as a deputy sheriff for Teller County and was a coach in Woodland Park's Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Program. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Viewing will be 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31. at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Bunkers, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
