Melvin L. Farnsworth Sr.

MELVIN FARNSWORTH SR. Melvin L. Farnsworth Sr. passed away Dec. 17, 2014. He was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Mesa, Ariz. He lived in Henderson until he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for 15 years. Shortly after leaving the U.S. Army, he started working for the Clark County School District in the planning and engineering department. He retired from the school district and devoted his free time helping others. He loved being surrounded by his family and hosted many backyard party barbecues. He is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Debbie Crandy Farnsworth; three siblings, Rodney Jr., Robin and Ray; three sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin Jr. and Okson, Adam and Natalie, and Ryan and Vanessa; eight grandchildren, Moriah, Benjamin, Rebecca, Sarah, Jessica, Hannah, Harrison and Oliver; and one great-grandchild, Micah. He was loved and will be missed by his family, many friends from around the world and his beloved dog, Annie. No services are scheduled.
