Mercedes B. Vuocolo

Mercedes Barcelo Vuocolo, born April 27, 1933, entered into eternal peace April 18, 2013. Born to Ernesto Rebello Muiniz and Rosario Decal y Gomez in Havana, Cuba, she resided in the United States in 1963 with friends, where she worked as a seamstress. She married Alberto Barcelo May 23, 1964. They were happily married until he passed March 8, 1970, in Flushing, N.Y. She later fell in love with Robert R. Vuocolo and they were married in Yonkers, N.Y., April 30, 1976. She cared for his family and later moved to Las Vegas. She worked at Al Phillips Cleaners, making many friends. Robert passed away May 10, 2012. She loved children, seeing them play on holidays, looking at classic movies, and the Michael Jackson slot machine. She lived for her adopted family, Eva Diaz Davis, Dannie Linda Watson, Tony, La Misha, Tony II and Rhythm Fields. She loved everyone and is truly one of God's special angels. "We cherished loving you and being your keeper until the end." Services will be 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Entombment will be at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
