Merilyn Nielsen Maxwell

Merilyn Nielsen Maxwell, age 84, of Livermore, Calif., passed away Sept. 3, 2014. Merilyn was born Sept. 12, 1929, to Alvin Victor Nielsen and Grace Tew, in Holladay, Utah. Merilyn married James Arlo Maxwell 63 years ago, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Merilyn considered being a wife and mother a sacred challenge as well as her greatest joy. She leaves six children, Arlynn Pyle (Paul), Peggy Walker (Vance), Clover Sessions (Richard), Conrad Arlo Maxwell (Mendy), Julie Tippetts (Ivan), and James Eric Maxwell (Jacque); 30 grandchildren; and 64 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at El Camino Chapel, 2245 Lindell Rd, Las Vegas. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons Foundation or Primary Childrens Hospital.
