Michael Alan McGilbra

Michael McGilbra, born August 23, 1958, in Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. He made his home in North Las Vegas, Nevada, where he built a life filled with love, service, and deep family roots.

Michael was a devoted father to Michael Jr., David, and Melissa, whom he loved dearly and spoke of often with pride. He was the cherished son of Clarence and Mattie, and a loving brother to Clarence Jr., Joseph, Barbara, Linda, Pat, and Gladys. His family meant everything to him, and he carried that love in everything he did.

After a dedicated career with the school district, Michael enjoyed his retirement by giving his time and energy to the Blind Center, where he loved assisting others and connecting with the community. He found joy in simple pleasures—playing dominoes and card games, sharing laughter, and spending time with those he cared about.

Some of his most treasured moments were spent going to church with his mother, where his faith was strengthened and his spirit renewed. No matter where life took him, Michael’s heart was always anchored by his family, his faith, and his desire to help others.

Michael will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the love he poured into his children, his family, and everyone blessed to know him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the joy he shared, and the memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who loved him.
