Mollie Thomas was born September 23, 1940 in Banks, Arkansas to Tom and Rosie Ederington. Mollie attended Bradley County High School while working alongside her family as a sharecropper. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Union Hill Baptist church in Warren Arkansas. After Mollie graduated high school she was employed as a domestic worker. She later, in the early 70’s, would go on to co-own & co-manage a small family owned restaurant where she worked until her husband retired and she became a housewife.
Previous marital unions blessed Mollie with nine beautiful children. Mollie met her soulmate and life partner in Warren Arkansas. They were later wed in 1978. Mollie went on to have three beautiful children with the late Buster Louis Thomas. They later relocated their family to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987. It was here in Las Vegas she joined the Good Samaritan Worship and Training Center Church under the leadership of the late Senior Pastor Pal L Childress, presently under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dora Howard. Mollie faithfully served on the Motherboard and as auxiliary treasurer, where she was respectfully known as Mother Thomas. She also served on the sick and shut-in Committee, the feeding committee and sang soprano for the Good Samaritan women’s choir. In February of 2021, Mollie attended Transformed for Destiny Global Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Regina K. Rhodes and served as an honorary church mother.
Mother Mollie Thomas was a praiser who never shied away from praising the lord or cutting her step. She was affectionately known as “Diva” for her grace, elegance, and classy fashion sense. She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. Mollie was an example of how to exercise faith, resilience, and perseverance.
